The Draft RMP Amendment is open for public comment until October 1, 2026.

Make your voice heard. Send a comment to the BLM to let them know how you would like this area to be managed. Effective comments can include a call for BLM to:

• Fully incorporate community-driven recommendations developed over years of engagement.

• Close lands to oil and gas development—especially those with high ecological or recreation value, and those near sensitive water infrastructure and local farms.

• Designate Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs) based on state and stakeholder nominations to protect important wildlife habitat.

• Protect lands with wilderness characteristics through updated inventories and strong management.

• Prioritize the economic importance of recreation, agriculture, and clean water to local communities.
